51 Inch Serrated Nice Megalodon Fossil Sharks TeethHere is a tooth with very distinct serrations. Often times the older megs, have really bgi serrations. Somewhat like the transitional megs, or what we call the cubetensis. I had a cubetensis that was 6 inches, and this is the trueth as a very well known dealer bought it from a wholesalre who i sold it to. The tooth i have up for this auction is really sweat. hTe colors are nice, a deep gold in the enamel. All around the tooth is in good condition. It measures 5.1 inches- 130 mm at the long slant side, and the short slant side is 5.O inches, -128 mm, and it is 4.2 inches-107 mm wide. This tooth is nice and solid and no chemicals were used to harden the fossil. It weighs 11 ounces. I found this megalodon on the su east coast. It is older miocene, about 5 million years or more. Thanks ofr checking this auction. Matty. The megalodon shark was one of the greatest predators to have roamed teh earth. During the miocene and pliocene tiem periods, some 5 to 15 million years ago, these animals ruled the seas around the world. Some adults rae estimated to have reached lengths well over 40 feet long. These massive sharks had row upon row of 4 and 5 inch serrated teeth. Fossil sharks teeth are found throughout the world and are highley prized by both collectors and shark enthusiasts alike. They make wonderful gifts and give us a small glimpse into our earths prehistoric past. For over 20 years of ym life i have been searching and diving for these incredible fossils. From being followed by alligators to being stranded on a small beach for hours, i have had na adventure.
