Patr of a woolly mammoth tusk. Here is a well-preserved and polished fragment of a woolly mammoth tusk, which comes from siberian permafrost. This fragment is just a tip, and comes from a much larger tusk. It has been cleaned, polished adn sprayed with lacquer.
There are minor repairs, braely noticable. The tusk has a nice variation of colors, ranging from off-white to black and blue. Length 21. Diameter 1-3/4. Weight 2.2 lbs. Mammoth tusks are great display items, valued by collectors of ice age artifacts. They can also be used as materila for carving, knifemaking and other projects.
